CF UPDATE - TAKE TWO
So last Friday H is off at 9:30 am out of the house to run some errands and to stop and get the blood test done. Here's where we are different; I would have made it my FIRST stop... he made it his LAST. So, by time he got to the lab and they discovered he "wasn't in their computer", our ob was closed for the weekend... and we didn't know what to do! (Apparently that lab must only do bloodwork for the doctors in that building -- one of which was the "old" ob I had been "test driving".)
Thankfully H's brain was in overdrive; guess he realized I was ready to do him harm and he called his PCP and asked if they couldn't do the bloodwork. No, they couldn't (figures!) but they did suggest he just take his prescription and go over to the local hospital. Voila! This was the right answer!
So, the bloodwork was to have been sent out to a lab in Connecticut (they said it would go out Monday) and that it would take a week to get back. We go back to see Dr. D for our 4-week follow-up on Friday the 16th, so hopefully he'll have the results back then. (Cross your fingers, please!)
